Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on September 17

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the green on Tuesday with the Sensex up 0.11 per cent at 83,080 and the Nifty-50 up 0.14 per cent at 25,419. About 1,714 shares have advanced, 2,238 shares have declined and 106 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 83,184.34 on September 16, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 25,445.70 on September 16, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.08 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.13 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Ltd, JSW Infrastructure Ltd and C G Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Nava Ltd, Neogen Chemicals Ltd and Reliance Infrastructure Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Utilities Index and BSE Realty Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Services Index and BSE Metals Index were the Top Losers.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.70 lakh crore or USD 5.61 trillion as of September 17, 2024. On the same day, 299 stocks hit a 52-week high while 55 stocks touched a 52-week low.
