AnantGrid Projects One Private Limited (AGPOPL), an associate of Bajel Projects Limited, has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from PFC Consulting Limited declaring it the successful bidder for an Inter-State transmission scheme covering the Common Transmission System for evacuation of power from Lakadia Phase II, Jam Khambhaliya Phase II and Jamnagar Phase I, Part A.

AGPOPL emerged as the L1 bidder following the e-reverse auction conducted on August 6 and August 7, 2026, under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding route. The filing does not disclose the monetary value of the project.

Project to Include 270 Km of 765 KV Transmission Lines

The project includes the Construction of approximately 270 kilometres of 765 KV double-circuit transmission lines from Halvad to Vadodara in Gujarat. In addition to the transmission lines, the project includes additional works at three substations located at Halvad, Vadodara and South Olpad.

The project forms part of the broader Inter-State transmission scheme for evacuation of power from Lakadia Phase II with a capacity of 7.5 GW, Jam Khambhaliya Phase II with a capacity of 5.5 GW and Jamnagar Phase I with a capacity of 1 GW.

Bajel Projects and NIIF Collaboration

AGPOPL is jointly owned by Bajel Projects Limited and National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), with Bajel Projects holding a 26 per cent stake and NIIF holding the remaining 74 per cent stake.

In March 2026, NIIF, Bajel Projects and AnantGrid Private Limited entered into a collaboration agreement to jointly pursue power transmission opportunities of mutual interest in India through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding route. The collaboration brings together NIIF's investment and asset management capabilities, AnantGrid's project development and management expertise and Bajel Projects' engineering, procurement and construction capabilities.

The collaboration is aimed at delivering transmission infrastructure in support of India's target of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
