The order marks Suzlon's third DevCo-led wind order across Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. The company will deploy its flagship S144 wind turbines for the project, while the latest order also takes cumulative sales of the S144 platform beyond the 10 GW milestone.

64 S144 Turbines to Be Installed in Madhya Pradesh

Under the order, Suzlon will install 64 S144 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, taking the total project capacity to 200 MW. The project will be developed at Limbawas in Madhya Pradesh, with the electricity generated to be connected to the MPPCL state grid.

Suzlon will execute the project through its comprehensive engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) offering. The scope includes turbine supply, land acquisition, balance of plant, pooling substation, extra-high-voltage line, commissioning and operations and maintenance services.

S144 Platform Crosses 10 GW Sales Milestone

The order is significant for Suzlon's S144 platform, which has now crossed 10 GW in cumulative sales. The S144 is part of the company's 3.x MW wind turbine platform and will form the core technology for the Ayana project. The latest contract also represents Suzlon's third DevCo-led wind order, with projects now spanning Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

The company said its integrated approach to renewable energy development and project execution is opening up additional business opportunities. According to Suzlon, it has secured four wind orders across two states within a short period.

Ayana Expands Into Madhya Pradesh Wind Market

For Ayana Renewable Power, the project marks its entry into wind power generation in Madhya Pradesh. Ayana has built a 5.5 GW renewable energy portfolio across wind, solar and round-the-clock renewable power. The company selected Suzlon for the project based on its technology, execution capabilities and integrated project delivery approach.

The project also comes against the backdrop of Madhya Pradesh's wind energy potential. Suzlon highlighted the state's potential of more than 55 GW at a hub height of 150 metres and identified the state as one of the potential drivers of India's next phase of wind energy growth.

Integrated Wind-First Renewable Energy Platform

The latest order adds to Suzlon's presence across the renewable energy value chain, with the company offering wind turbine technology, renewable energy development, project execution and asset management services. The company's current product portfolio includes 2.x MW, 3.x MW, 5.x MW and 6.x MW wind turbine systems alongside integrated renewable energy solutions.

With the latest order, Suzlon will combine turbine supply with project execution and long-term O&M services, covering multiple stages of the project's lifecycle.
