Tamboli Industries’ casting unit wins global OEM development programme with Rs 20 crore annual potential

Tamboli Industries’ wholly owned subsidiary, Tamboli Castings, has secured initial development orders from a Fortune 100 global OEM for over 50 precision-engineered components.

✨ Key Takeaways

Tamboli Industries Ltd has secured a component development and long-term supply programme through its wholly owned subsidiary, Tamboli Castings Ltd, from a multibillion-dollar Fortune 100 global manufacturer of off-highway equipment and advanced mobility solutions.

The programme could generate recurring annual revenue of about Rs 20 crore once the full component portfolio is approved and transitioned into commercial production. This potential annual business is not the value of purchase orders received so far and remains subject to customer approvals, business transition and the OEM’s sourcing requirements.

Tamboli Castings has received initial development orders and will begin work immediately. The engagement covers the development and phased supply of more than 50 precision-engineered components for the customer’s global manufacturing operations. Further development orders and commercial releases are expected in phases.

The company has not identified the customer, citing confidentiality, commercial sensitivity and competitive considerations. It said Tamboli Castings was selected for direct supply after a global evaluation of precision-component manufacturers from emerging markets. The assesSMEnt covered engineering and manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, supply-chain performance and experience in serving global OEM programmes.

The potential revenue is meaningful relative to Tamboli Industries’ existing scale. The group reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 80.43 crore in FY26, meaning the indicated Rs 20 crore annual opportunity would equal nearly 25 per cent of that revenue base if the entire portfolio moves into commercial production. However, the projected business will build gradually rather than accrue immediately.

The company expects the development process, customer approvals and phased production transition to take around two to three years. This lengthy cycle reflects the qualification requirements typically associated with precision components supplied to global equipment manufacturers. The pace of approvals and transition will determine whether the stated annual potential is ultimately realised.

Tamboli Castings is the operating business within the group and manufactures fully machined, high-precision investment-cast components. Its manufacturing campus at Bhavnagar in Gujarat has disclosed capacity of 600 tonnes, while the company serves customers across more than 27 countries. The new programme therefore extends its existing international orientation, although the announcement does not disclose the destination markets, component categories or production volumes involved.

The win comes after a stronger FY26 for the group. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 16.7 per cent year on year to Rs 80.43 crore, while profit after Tax rose to Rs 9.81 crore from Rs 7.71 crore in FY25. Management had attributed the improvement to cost efficiency, customer selection and a better product mix amid trade and geopolitical uncertainty.

Execution will be the key factor to monitor. Investment-casting programmes can involve extended development and approval timelines, while the industry also faces constraints from labour availability, supply chains, energy costs and raw-material prices. Tamboli’s annual report had also noted the importance of overseas markets, which can expose the business to trade disruptions and currency movements.

The company said its promoters and promoter group have no interest in the arrangement and that the programme is not a related-party transaction.

At 10:06 am on October 12, 2026, Tamboli Industries shares were trading at Rs 327.30, up 9.21 per cent from the previous close of Rs 299.70. The stock had gained 93.29 per cent over the preceding year, compared with a 6.29 per cent decline in the BSE 500 over the same period.
