Maruti Suzuki Reports Record Monthly Sales In May
Maruti Suzuki India Limited reported its highest-ever monthly sales volume in May 2026, with total sales rising to 2,42,688 units, compared with 1,80,077 units in May 2025. Domestic sales also reached an all-time high of 1,93,535 units during the month.
Sales to other OEMs stood at 7,239 units, while exports increased to 41,914 units during May 2026. Total domestic sales, including OEM supplies, reached 2,00,774 units, compared with 1,48,858 units in the corresponding month last year.
Passenger Vehicle Sales Cross 1.90 Lakh Units
Domestic passenger vehicle sales increased to 1,90,337 units in May 2026 from 1,35,962 units a year earlier.
Within the passenger vehicle segment, sales of Mini and Compact/Mid-Size cars, including Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Swift, Dzire and WagonR, rose to 97,830 units from 68,736 units in May 2025. The Mini segment recorded sales of 16,275 units, while the Compact and Mid-Size segment contributed 81,555 units.
Utility vehicle sales stood at 79,267 units, compared with 54,899 units in the year-ago period. Eeco van sales increased to 13,240 units, while Super Carry light commercial vehicle sales rose to 3,198 units.
Exports Rise 34 per cent in May
Export volumes increased to 41,914 units in May 2026 from 31,219 units reported in May 2025, reflecting growth of approximately 34 per cent year-on-year.
For the April-May period of FY27, total sales stood at 4,82,334 units, compared with 3,59,868 units in the corresponding period of FY26. Domestic sales, including OEM supplies, reached 4,00,366 units, while exports stood at 81,968 units.
