Frontline equity indices Sensex and Nifty rallied on Tuesday (February 27) following buying witnessed in index heavyweight Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors and Sun Pharma amid firm global markets.
Top Gainers on the Nifty included Tata Motors, TCS, IndusInd Bank, Power Grid Corp and Sun Pharma.
Sector-wise, Auto, Capital Goods, Information Technology, Pharma, and Realty index were up 0.5-1 per cent each, while the Oil & Gas index closed down 1 per cent each.
