Domestic equity indices closed Wednesday’s trading session in the red zone. Nifty 50 tumbled by 247.20 points or 1.11 per cent to settle at 21,951.15, while the BSE Sensex lost 790.33 points or 1.08 per cent to 72,304.89.
Bank Nifty closed down by 624.90 points or 1.34 per cent to settle at 45,931.15.
Top Nifty50 gainers in a falling market were HUL, Infosys, TCS and Bharti Airtel.
