While real estate stocks hogged limelight, several penny stocks were seen outperforming the markets on Tuesday.
The BSE Sensex after a volatile trading session managed to give in to the bulls as the frontline index gained ~400 points in the last couple of hours of the trading session.
The NIFTY Realty index traded with a fresh 10-year breakout on Tuesday as the Karnataka government announced a stamp duty cut for flats below Rs 45 lacs. Realty stocks were in demand on Tuesday with the likes of Godrej Properties trading at a fresh 52 week high.
The recovery in the market was broad based and almost all the sectoral indices were in green except BSE Auto, BSE Power and BSE Consumer Durables.
