During the last week, the domestic benchmark indices Sensex & Nifty ended in the green, gaining 2.62 per cent and 2.36 per cent. At the same time, the BSE SmallCap index slipped into the red and ended at 26,805.97 levels.

The Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty as well as the BSE Midcap Index & BSE SmallCap Index in the broader market touched their fresh record high during last week. This improvement was backed by the pick up of vaccination drive in the country and flowing in of the money from FIIs as they turned into buyers.
Though BSE SmallCap Index made a new high during the last week, it ended flat at the close of the week. Despite this movement, 35 small-cap stocks managed to gain beyond 10 per cent during the week.
