Cyient Completes Rs 782 crore Acquisition of 74 per cent Stake in Kinetic Technologies
Cyient Semiconductors has completed its Rs 782 crore (USD 85 million) investment to acquire a 74 per cent majority stake in Kinetic Technologies through its wholly owned subsidiary, Cyient Semiconductors Singapore Pte. Ltd., as per its regulatory filing.
Kinetic Technologies, a global power semiconductor solutions provider, adds immediate scale to Cyient’s semiconductor platform, bringing over 100 silicon-proven IPs and more than 250 high-volume custom and Application-Specific Standard Products (ASSPs) across power management, protection, display power, and interface solutions. The acquisition strengthens Cyient’s intellectual property portfolio, enhances its market credibility, and provides access to an established global customer base.
The transaction aligns with Cyient’s strategy to build a differentiated semiconductor platform focused on custom silicon and ASSP-led solutions, targeting a global market opportunity of approximately USD 44 billion. By combining Cyient’s engineering capabilities with Kinetic’s product portfolio, the company aims to strengthen its design capabilities, operational scale, and presence in high-growth power semiconductor segments.
Kinetic Technologies will continue to operate under its existing leadership, with strategic oversight from Cyient Semiconductors, while benefiting from enhanced R&D investments and a broader global footprint.
