Todays small-cap buzzers: Caplin Point zooms 17 per cent; Jayant Agro-organics, Mahindra CIE, Inox Winds & Arvind Fashions hog limelight

On Monday, BSE SmallCap index continued its upward spiral and touched the level of 26,650. The index was up by nearly 0.69 per cent.    

BSE SmallCap index showed a path of recovery on Monday from the dip seen in the last week, where it had reached the levels of 26,001.76 on July 20, 2021.  

Jubilant FoodWorks, Caplin Point Laboratories, PVR, Alkyl Amines, etc stood as volume toppers in BSE SmallCap index. On the other hand, Jayant Agro-organics, Caplin Point Laboratories, Mahindra CIE Automotive, Inox Winds, Arvind Fashions, etc. stood as the top index contributors. 

Recently, Caplin Point Laboratories was granted final approval from United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) for its abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) Sumatriptan injection USP, 6 mg/0.5 ml (12 mg/ml) single-dose vials, a generic therapeutic equivalent version of (RLD), Imitrex injection of GlaxoSmithKline, USA. Sumatriptan injection USP is indicated in adults for acute treatment of migraine with or without aura as well as acute treatment of cluster headache. 

Jayant Agro-organics has incorporated wholly-owned subsidiaries (WOS) namely – Jacaco Private Limited (WOS-1) and Jayant Specialities Products Pvt Ltd (WOS-2). Jacaco deals in food products along with personal care products, etc while Jayant Specialities deal in speciality chemicals. 

On the other hand, Datamatics Global Services, Triveni Engineering & Industries, DB Corporation, CreditAccess Grameen, etc. remained under pressure and declined on Monday.
