Top small-cap & mid-cap performers since last Diwali

Small-cap and mid-cap stocks have been the highlight of 2020. Being one of the investors’ most preferred choices of scrips, below are some of the small-cap and mid-cap stocks, which have outperformed Sensex since last Diwali and have spread happiness among investors by giving significantly high returns.

Being one of the investors’ most preferred choices of scrips, below are some of the small-cap and mid-cap stocks, which have outperformed Sensex since last Diwali and have spread happiness among investors by giving significantly high returns.
Since the last Diwali, BSE Small-Cap index outperformed Sensex gaining by around 19 per cent as Sensex is up by around 11 per cent whereas, BSE Mid-Cap index underperformed gaining by around 6.14 per cent during the same period.
BSE Small-Cap index has gained by 13.13 per cent on a YTD basis and recovered by almost 76 per cent since its March lows while BSE Mid-Cap index has gained by almost 2 per cent on a YTD basis and is up by more than 70 per cent from its March lows. Outperforming BSE Mid-Cap index on a YTD basis, Sensex has gained by more than 5 per cent while the index has recovered by around 67 per cent from its March lows.
Strong rallies were seen in small-cap and mid-cap stocks belonging mainly to the healthcare sector. Additionally, sectors such as textile, IT, and chemicals were also investors’ preference.
