Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 100 points or 0.12 per cent.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals jumped by 1.63 per cent, power zoomed by 0.68 per cent, and auto slipped by 0.12 per cent.

Meanwhile, Akzo Nobel India Ltd, The Anup Engineering Ltd and Garware Hi-Tech Films Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.

Akzo Nobel India Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 9.15 per cent to trade at Rs 3,203.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces. 

The Anup Engineering Ltd, an S&P BSE company, rose 5.34 per cent to trade at Rs 1,929.05 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces. 

Garware Hi-Tech Films Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 5.13 per cent to trade at Rs 3,094.75 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
