Pheonix Mills opens one of the largest mall at Wakad, Pune

Bharat Electronics bags new orders worth ₹3,000 crore 



Bharat Electronics Limited bagged an order from Cochin Shipyard Limited for the supply of various equipment consisting of Sensors, Weapon equipment, Fire Control systems and Communication equipment for six numbers of Next Generation Missile Vessels (NGMV), a class of anti-surface warfare corvettes for Indian Navy. The order is worth ₹2,118.57 crore. The company has also received additional orders worth ₹886 crore to upgrade AFNET SATCOM N/W, Akash Missiles with RF Seeker, Inertial Navigation System and other equipment with accessories and spares etc.

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna defence public sector undertaking (DPSU), was established in 1954 under the Ministry of Defence, the Government of India, to cater to the electronic equipment requirements of the defence sector. BEL is the dominant supplier of radar, communication, and electronic warfare equipment to the Indian armed forces. 


NTPC inks MOU with Nayara Energy for green hydrogen production 


NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has joined forces with Nayara Energy to explore opportunities in the green hydrogen sector. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed by NGEL's CEO, Mohit Bhargava, and Nayara Energy's Head of Technical, Amar Kumar, with senior officials from both entities as witnesses. This strategic collaboration supports NTPC's initiatives in advancing hydrogen projects in India, aligning with the government's Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. NTPC's group installed capacity has achieved a noteworthy milestone, totalling 73,824 MW (73.8 GW). This accomplishment was marked by the successful trial operation of the first 800 MW unit at the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project on September 5, 2023. In an effort to foster green hydrogen production, NTPC Green Energy Limited has signed an MoU with the V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) for the establishment of a Green Hydrogen Hub in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. This initiative underscores NTPC's commitment to exploring and implementing cutting-edge technologies in the pursuit of a cleaner and more sustainable energy future. NTPC Green Energy Limited specializes in generating electricity from renewable sources such as solar, wind, and hydro power. NTPC, as a Ministry of Power entity, stands as India's largest power utility with a total installed capacity exceeding 73 GW. With ambitious plans to establish 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032 and a robust pipeline of over 20 GW, NTPC is actively contributing to India's green energy transition. 


Aurionpro Solutions wins a new order worth USD 1.2 million in Mexico

Aurionpro Solutions has won an order to supply validators and hardware for a new rapid transit bus project in Merida, Mexico. The project is part of the Yucatan state government's plan to develop a metropolitan-friendly and sustainable mobility system called VayVen. The order is worth USD 1.2 million. VayVen is designed to allow residents to make faster and more efficient transfers between different modes of transportation, saving them time and money. Aurionpro's validators and hardware will play a key role in making VayVen a success. DFC Board approves USD 4,25,00,000 for TP Solar, a subsidiary of Tata Power, for a 4.3 GW solar cell and module plant




The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation’s (DFC) Board of Directors approved the provision of up to USD 4,25,00,000 in financing in TP Solar Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), for its upcoming greenfield 4.3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing plant at Tirunelveli district in Tamil Nadu, India. DFC is America’s development finance institution. Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) is a subsidiary of Tata Power Ltd, one of India’s largest integrated power companies. The plant’s first module production is expected by the year end and the first cell production is expected in the first quarter of FY24. Pending a U.S. congressional notification, this investment will support India’s ambitious program to increase renewable energy manufacturing capability to support domestic solar capacity addition as part of its global green energy transition. DFC’s financial support of Tata Power will help secure the supply chain in the country’s journey for leadership in the clean energy space. DFC partners with private sector players across the globe to finance solutions to the most critical challenges facing the developing world today. The financing support came at a time when global leaders were deliberating on energy transition and other critical sustainability challenges at the recently concluded G20 Summit in New Delhi. This financing support will contribute towards securing India’s commitment to achieve 500 GW of clean energy targets by 2030. 


SJVN signs PPA with Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB)



S JVN Ltd informed that the company through its wholly owned subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has signed PPA with Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) for 18 MW Solar Power. The project will be developed on the land parcels of BBMB in the states of Himachal Pradesh & Punjab. The project is scheduled to be commissioned by August 2024. The Project has been secured through open competitive bidding at a tariff of ₹2.63 in the reverse auction organized by the Punjab Energy Development Agency. The project will generate 39.42 million Units of energy in the first year of operation and the cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years would be about 917 million Units. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the power produced from the project has been signed with BBMB for 25 years. The commissioning of this project is expected to reduce 44,923 tonnes of carbon emissions. SJVN, a leading CPSU under the Ministry of Power, plans to install over 10,000 MW of renewable energy capacity in three years while progressing towards its Shared Vision of becoming a company of 25000 MW by 2030 and 50000 MW by 2040. SJVN is engaged in the business of electricity generation. The company is also engaged in the business of providing consultancy for hydropower projects.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders signs master ship repair agreement with US Government



Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders announces that the company has signed a Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) with the US Government represented by NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Yokosuka. This is a Non-Financial Agreement. There are only two shipyards in the country including MDL who have signed MSRA. The agreement is expected to open up voyage repairs of US Navy Ships at MDL. Earlier, the company marked its 250 glorious years of existence with excellence and expertise with the launch of the fourth Stealth Frigate of Project 17A ‘MAHENDRAGIRI’. With the launch of this mighty frigate, MDL continues its triumphant march towards self-reliance turning Aatmanirbhar Bharat into a reality. The construction of the Mahendragiri stealth frigate began in June 2022 using an integreated construction method. The ship is expected to be completed and delivered by February 2026. It is 149 meters long and 17.8 meters wide and is powered by a CODOG combination of two gas turbines and two main diesel engines. It is equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and sensors, including a supersonic surface-to-surface missile system, a vertical launch and long-range surface-to-air missile system, two 30mm rapid-fire guns, and an SRGM gun. The overall budget for Project 17A is ₹25,700 crore. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), Mumbai, established in 1774, is a prominent shipyard in India. Initially a small dry dock, MDL has evolved into a renowned shipbuilding company. It has constructed 801 vessels since 1960, including warships, submarines, cargo/passenger ships, and offshore platforms.
