Zen Technologies launches Integrated Smart Border Suite
Zen Technologies announced the launch of its Integrated Smart Border Suite (ISBS), which the company described as India’s first integrated smart border security solution.
The company stated that the solution aligns with the Government of India’s vision of creating an “Impenetrable Smart Border” across nearly 6,000 km along the Pakistan and Bangladesh frontiers. The announcement follows the nationwide Smart Border project outlined by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, focused on deploying advanced surveillance technologies including drones, radars and intelligent monitoring systems.
AI-enabled anti-drone and surveillance ecosystem
Zen Technologies stated that the ISBS has been designed to address emerging threats including illegal infiltration, narco-terrorism, drone-based smuggling and hybrid warfare tactics across India’s borders.
The company described the system as a 24x7 intelligent digital shield capable of detecting, tracking and neutralising hostile activity in difficult terrain and high-risk border sectors.
The suite integrates AI-powered anti-drone systems in vehicle-mounted, man-portable and fixed configurations, offering both soft-kill and hard-kill capabilities.
Other components include AI-enabled loitering munitions, high-speed interceptor drones, unmanned ground vehicles, remote-controlled weapon stations, electro-optical sensors and thermal surveillance systems with intelligent tracking capabilities.
Management commentary
Commenting on the development, Ashok Atluri, Chairman & Managing Director, Zen Technologies, said:
“India’s border security architecture is undergoing a fundamental transformation, from static, manpower-intensive deployments to intelligent, autonomous and technology-driven protection systems capable of responding to dynamic and asymmetric threats in real time. Zen’s Integrated Smart Border Suite has been developed as an indigenous AI-enabled ecosystem that seamlessly integrates anti-drone systems, autonomous surveillance, precision-response platforms and real-time situational awareness into a unified operational grid. As India accelerates the modernisation of its border infrastructure under the vision of an ‘Impenetrable Smart Border’, indigenous defence technologies built on Indian intellectual property will play a decisive role in strengthening national security, operational readiness and strategic self-reliance.”
