NIIT Learning Systems Limited (NIIT MTS) has announced the complete acquisition of SweetRush, Inc., a leading provider of AI-enabled custom learning experience design. The deal, executed through NIIT’s subsidiary NIIT (USA), Inc., involves a total consideration of up to USD 26 million, inclusive of performance-based earnouts spread across the next five years.
The acquisition holds strategic significance for NIIT on multiple fronts. First, it enhances NIIT’s existing Managed Learning Services platform by adding SweetRush’s award-winning strategic learning interventions and talent solutions. This strengthens NIIT’s capability to deliver high-impact learning programs supported by AI, design expertise, and scalable operations.
Second, the deal establishes expanded near-shore delivery capabilities for NIIT in the Americas. SweetRush’s team of over 100 professionals located in the United States and Costa Rica enables NIIT to serve clients with improved speed, efficiency, and geographic coverage.
Third, this move supports NIIT’s market expansion strategy. By integrating SweetRush’s strong project-based client relationships, NIIT aims to transition these engagements into longer-term managed learning contracts, improving stickiness and recurring revenue potential.
The combined entity brings together SweetRush’s human-centered design approach with NIIT’s global delivery infrastructure and AI-powered technology platform. This positions NIIT as a more comprehensive solutions provider in the digital learning and talent transformation space.
