Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 20.95 points or 0.03 per cent.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals dropped by 0.45 per cent, power plunged by 0.34 per cent, and auto slipped by 0.44 per cent.

Meanwhile, Zydus Lifesciences Ltd, Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd and Karnataka Bank Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE today.

Zydus Lifesciences Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 3.65 per cent to trade at Rs 1,056.15 apiece.

Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd, an S&P BSE company, gained 3.63 per cent to trade at Rs 300.95 apiece.

Karnataka Bank Ltd, an S&P BSE company, advanced 3.50 per cent to trade at Rs 257.20 apiece.
