At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 100 points or 0.14 per cent.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals dropped by 0.35 per cent, power plunged by 0.01 per cent, and auto slipped by 0.39 per cent.

Meanwhile, Jai Balaji Industries Ltd, Ion Exchange (India) Ltd and Kesoram Industries Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.

 

Jai Balaji Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 5.00 per cent to trade at Rs 67.26 apiece. The company’s latest notable updates include a revision in credit rating in September and its 27th AGM held on September 24, 2026. No fresh significant announcement was identified immediately ahead of today’s rally.

Ion Exchange (India) Ltd, an S&P BSE company, gained 3.62 per cent to trade at Rs 424.00 apiece. The company recently made a regulatory filing regarding a newspaper publication on October 6, 2026, while its trading window had been closed from September 28 ahead of the results period.

Kesoram Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, advanced 3.54 per cent to trade at Rs 11.10 apiece. The company recently submitted an application for reclassification of certain promoter/promoter-group members to the public category on October 5, 2026.
