Markets Trade Strong, Sensex Gains Over 250 Points

Indian markets are trading on a higher note in the morning session owing to positive Asian cues,with major heavyweights gaining in the morning trade. At the present hour Nifty is trading up by 50 points to trade at 7326 level and the Sensex is trading at 24548 level, up by 173 points. Both indices opened up in the range of 0.70%.

The advance-decline ratio is on the positive side in the morning session today. On the NSE, 2396 shares are trading in gains and 1128 shares are down.
Top Nifty Gainers: Bharti Airtel is the top gainer in today’s morning session and is trading higher by 4.24%. It is followed by IDFC, BHEL, Sesa Sterlite and Power Grid Corp.
Top Nifty Losers: Hindalco is the top loser in today’s morning session and is trading lower by 1.58%. It is followed by HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra and Bajaj Auto.
All the sectoral indices are trading in green, except Bankex and Consumer Durables. Capital Goods is the top gainer this morning, as it surged by 300 points. It was followed by Oil & Gas and Metals, which were up by 163 points and 126 points respectively. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps are up by 102 points and 142 points respectively in the morning session.
Global Markets are giving out positive cues this morning. Nikkei is up by 121 points, Hang Seng is showing some strength and trading up by 14 points. KOSPI and Shanghai Composite were trading positive this morning.
Buzzers: Orissa Minerals Development Company, stock gained more than 7% to trade at Rs 4062 after hitting 52 week high at Rs 4182.55.
Nifty Future is trading above its support level of 7300. This indicates good strength at current level around 7360.
