Top performing stocks to watch out from Metal sector family

Mines and metal activities are upbeat over changing dynamics. Latest amendment in Mines and Minerals Development and Regulation Act provides for transfer of mining leases, which have been granted through procedures other than auction and where minerals are used for captive purpose. This will make exploration and mining activities more transparent. Owing to this factor we have analysed Metal sector’s last one-month performance plus Sensex vs BSE Metal Index movement.

We have also analysed last one-month’s performance of Metal sector companies. We have analysed total 35 companies. Out of 35 companies 12 companies have given returns of more than 1 per cent in last one month. 7 companies performed well with returns above 10 per cent in the same duration. 

We have picked up our top five performers with highest returns in last one month. Our top five performers are- Euro Ceramics, WS Industries (India), Nitco, Elegant Marbles & Grani Industries and Divyashakti Granites.

Small cap company Euro Ceramics has given robust performance with 77 per cent of returns. Followed by WS Industries (India), Nitco, Elegant Marbles & Grani Industries and Divyashakti Ganites which have spiked up by 62, 59, 52 and 37 per cent over last one month. Impose of anti-dumping duty on tiles imports from China, have triggered these stocks. Elegant Marbles & Grani Industries and Divyashakti Granites have posted good financial numbers in FY16 which was also a factor for these two stocks being in focus, apart from the anti-dumping duty levied on imported tiles from China.
