Overnight Digest – Stocks to look out for on July 25

The stocks which could witness a significant movement on July 25 are Ponni Sugars (Erode), Bajaj Corp/Canara Bank, Bharti Airtel/Idea Cellular/Reliance Communication, State Bank of India and L&T Finance Holdings.

Ponni Sugars (Erode): Ponni Sugars (Erode) has obtained the consent of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) under the Water & Air Pollution Acts for operating company’s Cogeneration Power Plant at 15 MW capacity. The share price of the company will be in focus on July 25.

Bajaj Corp/Canara Bank: Bajaj Corp and Canara Bank will declare their Q1FY17 results on July 25. The share price of these companies will be watched out on Monday.

Bharti Airtel/Idea Cellular/Reliance Communications: Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) has given mandatory nod to telecom operators for in-building infrastructure. This permission should be granted on non-discriminatory basis to all telecom operators by the respective builder or a government agency, according to COAI. The stocks of telecom operators will be in focus on July 25.

State Bank of India: According to Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley after merger of State Bank of India (SBI), the associated staff will not be affected. The central government has sanctioned the proposal of SBI to enter into negotiations with its subsidiary banks as well as Bhartiya Mahila Bank for acquiring them including their liabilities. The share price of bank will be in limelight on Monday.

L&T Finance Holdings: L&T Finance Holdings' Q1FY17 net profit has increased by 8 per cent to Rs 207 crore on a yearly basis. The company’s total income also has risen by 15.49 per cent to Rs 2031 crore in Q1FY17 on a yearly basis. The share price of the company will be watched out on Monday.
