Markets likely to open flat with bearish mood

SGX Nifty is trading with losses of 0.09 per cent to the levels of 8795. We expect markets to open lower, following rest of the world markets.
The Indian markets closed the day under pressure, eyeing the BOJ and FED meet. However, there were many stock specific actions on Tuesday, September 20 session. Nifty was not able to cross levels of 8800; and closed 32 points down at 8775 with 0.37 per cent loss. Whereas BSE Sensex also closed at 28523 with loss of 113 points, 0.39 per cent down. Overall market breadth remained red except Oil & Gas and IT.
European markets retorted with mixed performance on September 20. DAX closed up by 0.19 per cent at 10393.86. FTSE 100 also increased by 0.25 per cent to 6830.79. However, CAC 40 declined by 0.13 per cent and closed at 4388.6.
US markets closed flat in a volatile session ahead of an all-important Fed meet scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. All the major benchmark indices closed flat with positive bias on September 20.
Asian markets are trading with bearish mood on Wednesday, September 21. Japanese Nikkei 225, Hang Seng and Shanghai are trading down by 0.38 per cent, 0.18 per cent and 0.05 per cent respectively.
