Ultratech Cement's profitability margins improve in Q2FY17

Ultratech Cement has declared its Q2FY17 results on Monday. The company’s revenue has declined by 2.41 per cent to Rs 6509 crore in Q2FY17 on a yearly basis.
Ultratech Cement has declared its Q2FY17 results on Monday. The company’s revenue has declined by 2.41 per cent to Rs 6509 crore in Q2FY17 on a yearly basis. However, its EBITDA has risen by 15.96 per cent to Rs 1219 crore in Q2FY17 as compared to same period in previous fiscal. Ultratech Cement’s EBITDA margin has expanded by 296 basis points to 18.72 per cent in Q2FY17 on a yearly basis. The company’s net profit also has boosted by 29.41 per cent to Rs 624 crore in Q2FY17 as compared to same period in previous financial year. Its net profit margin has expanded by 236 basis points to 9.59 per cent in Q2FY17 on a yearly basis.
On the half yearly front, Ultratech Cement’s top line has increased by just 0.97 per cent to Rs 13961 crore in H1FY17 as compared to same period in previous financial year. The company’s EBITDA too has risen by 19.63 per cent to Rs 2694 crore in H1FY17 on a yearly basis. Its bottom line also has increased by 28.07 per cent to Rs 1387 crore in H1FY17 as compared to same period in previous fiscal.
The share price of Ultratech Cement has increased by 1 per cent on bourses in early trade; and is trading at Rs 4003.9 on an intraday basis.
