The BSE Bankex is currently trading at 21,684.46 levels, and is down by 243.72 points or 1.11 per cent. Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda and SBI are the top five stocks in the sectoral index, which are majorly losing grounds and are dragging the index down.
Axis Bank and ICICI Bank are the major stocks in the sector which are contributing to 95 per cent of the losses of the BSE Bankex index. Axis Bank is down by 5.61 per cent, ICICI is down by 1.56 per cent, PNB is down by 1.55 per cent, Bank of Baroda is down by 1.37 per cent and SBI is down by 1.18 per cent.
