Face of BSE, Chauhan now also the face of SAFE

According to a national news agency report, Chauhan also said that South Asia needs to be on a rapid growth path and therefore it was imperative to have a strong capital market system along with a banking.

Yet another feather on the cap for the face of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Ashishkumar Chauhan as he gets his note of appointment as the Chairman of South Asian Federation of Exchanges on Friday. The Federation is comprised of 28 member entities from across the SAARC region. As the Chairman of the Federation, Chauhan will be responsible for strengthening this platform meant to share, discuss and also promote related technologies and sheer co-ordination and knowledge-sharing among the Exchanges.
 
Tech-savvy, Chauhan who had an opportunity to serve also the National Stock Exchange (NSE) prior to his BSE stint, addressed the SAFE conference on Friday where he said, "I want to assure you that I will do everything in my power (as chairman) to ensure that SAFE achieves its ambition to accelerate economic integration within the region by creating strong cross border capital market linkages and creating a conducive environment for cross border co-operation.”

According to a national news agency report, Chauhan also said that South Asia needs to be on a rapid growth path and therefore it was imperative to have a strong capital market system along with a banking. In the same platform, Chauhan's BSE signed a MoU with Bangladesh's Dhaka Stock Exchange for knowledge sharing.
