IT Stocks sizzle, Pharma stocks drag

BSE IT index is up by 1.56 per cent along with BSE Capital goods index which is up by 1.67 per cent.

The so-called defensive stocks i.e pharma stocks are seen taking a beating on Friday trading session with the BSE Healthcare index slipping by 1.52 per cent.

BSE Consumer Durables is up by 0.20 per cent, BSE Metal is up by 0.72 per cent, BSE Bankex is up by 0.76 per cent and BSE Auto index is up by 0.68 per cent.

Infosys, TCS and Wipro are leading the gains in BSE IT index while Lupin, Sun Pharma and Dr Reddy's are contributing most to the BSE healthcare index fall.

L&T is seen contributing almost 60 per cent to the BSE Capital Goods index.
