Raymond’s subsidiary inaugurates greenfield garment facility in Ethiopia

Raymond is a suiting manufacturer that offers end to end solutions for fabrics and garmenting. Raymond has retail networks in the country with over 1000 stores across 400 towns. On Tuesday, Silver Spark Apparel Ethiopia PLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond, inaugurated its greenfield garment facility in Ethiopia. 

Set up in, with an investment of over Rs 100 crore at Hawassa Industrial Park  this foray is in line with the group's ambitions to increase its presence across international markets.

Expected to generate employment for over 2500 people in the first phase, the commissioning of this unit will pave the way for incremental job opportunities going forward.
