BSE Realty shows nominal gains

BSE Realty was trading up by 1.03% at the 2,111 level at 1015 hours. S&P BSE Realty opened positively with most of the stocks on the index trading in the green zone.
BSE Realty was trading up by 1.03% at the 2,111 level at 1015 hours. S&P BSE Realty opened positively with most of the stocks on the index trading in the green zone. Meanwhile, the benchmark index Sensex was trading up by 182 points at 31,778 and Nifty was trading up by 57 points at 9,914.
Godrej Properties was contributing majorly to the index gains. Among others, Phoenix, Oberoi Realty and Prestige were contributing more than 2 points to the index gains. Godrej Properties was the top gainer in the index, trading up by 5.27% at Rs 546 per share. The stock also witnessed a spurt in volume by more than 3.12 times on Monday.
Prestige was trading up by 2.71% at Rs 265 per share. Sobha was trading higher by 1.82% at Rs 393 per share, HDIL was trading up by 1.38% at Rs 62 per share, Oberoi Realty was trading higher by 1.36% at Rs 372 per share and Phoenix Ltd was trading up by 1.19% at Rs 521 per share. Indiabulls Real Estate and Omaxe were trading flat.
On the other hand, DLF was the top loser on the index, trading down by 1.61% at Rs 183 per share. The company signed an agreement to sell stakes in its rental business to Reco Diamond, an affiliate of GIC Real Estate, Singapore. Unitech was trading lower by 1.18% at Rs 7.58 per share.
