Lupin gets USFDA nod for Clobetasol Propionate Lotion, 0.05%

Its Clobetasol Propionate Lotion is a generic version of Galderma Laboratories, Clobex Lotion,0.05%. Clobex had sales of USD 14.3mn (approx Rs.93.4 crore) in the US market, as per IMS MAT’s June data.
Lupin, a Mumbai-based pharma company involved in developing and marketing branded generics and APIs, mentioned in its filing that it has received final approval from the USFDA to market Clobetasol Propionate Lotion, 0.05% an anti-inflammatory drug.
