Tata Motors Rolls Out Xenon XT In South Africa
DSIJ Intelligence / 27 Sep 2013

Tata Motors is looking to improve its market share in South Africa with its Xenon XT models. There is hardly any price difference between these models and the ones launched in the Indian market.
Tata Motors, a well-renowned brand in the South African market, has introduced a new vehicle Tata Xenon XT. South Africa has the highest number of Tata passenger cars after India. In the past few years, this company has proved its existence in the South African market, with its various range of vehicles like Super ACE (1T Mini Truck), 207 DI turbo (3.0L Worker) and the Xenon range with 11 variants.
Now, it has launched the Tata Xenon XT in the same market with power engine, comfortable handling and attractive European styling. The vehicle is aimed at various segments such as family and leisure, farming, mining, construction and small businesses.
Tata Motor has decided to launch four different variants of this model – Single Cab (4X2), Single Cab (4X4), Double Cab (4X2) and Double Cab (4X4) priced at South African Rand (R) 189995 (Rs 11.76 lakh), R 245995 (Rs 15.22 lakh), R 239995 (Rs 14.85 lakh) and R 269995 (Rs 16.71 lakh) respectively. There is hardly any price difference between these models and the ones launched in the Indian market.
Tata Motors is coming up with various plans and a wide range of products to increase its consumer base. Since South Africa is a fruitful market for the company, launching such a multipurpose utility vehicle seems to be good move.
