Suzlon Receives Sixth Repeat Order from GAIL

The project involves the development of a wind energy capacity of around 100 MW for Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) in the Nandurbar district of Maharashtra. Suzlon will supply 47 S120 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a rated capacity of 2.1 MW.

The Project includes supply, installation, and commissioning of the turbines, along with comprehensive operations and maintenance services. This also marks Suzlon’s fourth PSU order in the current financial year, indicating growing traction in the government-backed renewable energy segment.

Suzlon holds a market share of around 38 per cent in Maharashtra’s total installed wind energy capacity of 5.8 GW, highlighting its strong position in the state’s renewable energy sector. The company has installed over 2.2 GW of wind energy capacity in Maharashtra and continues to expand its presence through repeat orders and PSU partnerships.

Suzlon Management Commentary on Repeat Order from GAIL

Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer, Suzlon Group, stated, " We are happy to continue our strong relationship with GAIL, a valued partner for over 15 years and signing our sixth order together. We have worked over the years in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and are now extending this partnership with a maiden order in Maharashtra. Two years ago, we re-entered the PSU segment, starting with a 1.1 GW order from NTPC Limited. Today, PSU and C&I constitute of over 64 per cent  of our orderbook and we are working with all the leading PSUs and C&Is in the country."
