HCLTech Expands Partnership With Nokia

HCLTech announced an expanded collaboration with Nokia aimed at accelerating the adoption of autonomous networks through AI-driven network automation and the co-development of network automation RAN applications (rApps). As part of the partnership, four new rApps developed by HCLTech have been hosted on Nokia's SMO Marketplace, enabling communication service providers (CSPs) to deploy AI-powered network management solutions more efficiently.

The partnership is designed to help telecom operators transition towards AI-native, self-optimising network operations while creating a long-term co-innovation roadmap focused on next-generation network automation solutions for 5G and future network architectures.

Four New AI-Powered rApps Added

Under the collaboration, HCLTech has introduced four key rApps on Nokia's SMO Marketplace. The Anomaly Detector rApp helps identify and correlate network anomalies for faster optimisation, while the Energy Optimizer rApp improves energy efficiency by scaling resources during low-traffic periods.

The mMIMO Interference Mitigation rApp is designed to reduce inter-cell interference and improve network performance, while the Traffic Balancer rApp redistributes traffic across available paths to minimise congestion and reduce latency. These solutions are intended to enable operators to automate network management and improve overall operational efficiency.
