Budget 2022: Amrit Kaal for fulfilling the vision of ‘India at 100

This futuristic and inclusive vision aims to empower youth, women, farmers, SCs & STs and to promote big private-public investments for building modern infrastructure.   

This vision shall be guided by ‘PM Gati Shakti’ and be benefited by the synergy of a multi-modal approach. 

This plan shall be formulated this year and would be driven by seven engines namely, roads, railways, airports, ports, mass transport, waterways, and logistics infrastructure. These engines are expected to pull the economy in unison and shall derive support from energy transmission, IT communication, bulk water along with sewerage & social infrastructure.  

Moreover, the projects pertaining to these seven engines in the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) (announced in December 2019) will be aligned with the Gati Shakti framework.
