Canara Bank Q4FY26 Results

Canara Bank reported standalone interest earned of Rs 31,837.85 crore in Q4FY26 as against Rs 31,002.42 crore reported in Q4FY25. Total income for the quarter stood at Rs 39,860 crore compared to Rs 37,352.80 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.

Operating profit for Q4FY26 came in at Rs 11,763.71 crore as against Rs 10,278.41 crore reported in Q4FY25, registering a growth of 14.5 per cent YoY.

Profit before Tax stood at Rs 5,706.57 crore during the quarter compared to Rs 6,451.96 crore in the year-ago quarter. Net profit for Q4FY26 stood at Rs 4,505.57 crore as against Rs 5,002.66 crore reported in Q4FY25, reflecting a decline of 9.9 per cent YoY.

Basic and diluted EPS for the quarter stood at Rs 4.97 compared to Rs 5.52 in the corresponding quarter previous year.

Canara Bank FY26 Annual Performance

For the financial year ended March 31, 2026, Canara Bank reported standalone interest earned of Rs 1,19,755.07 crore as against Rs 87,780.30 crore in FY25.

Total income for FY26 stood at Rs 1,42,207.87 crore compared to Rs 82,683.11 crore in FY25. Operating profit during the financial year came in at Rs 31,390.26 crore. Profit before tax stood at Rs 22,626.67 crore in FY26 compared to Rs 17,026.67 crore reported in FY25, registering a growth of 32.9 per cent YoY.

Net profit for FY26 stood at Rs 19,186.67 crore as against Rs 17,026.67 crore reported in FY25, registering a growth of 12.7 per cent YoY. Earnings per share for FY26 stood at Rs 21.15 compared to Rs 18.77 in the previous financial year.

CASA Ratio and Asset Quality

The bank’s CASA ratio stood at 31.03 per cent as of March 31, 2026.

Asset quality improved during the quarter, with Gross NPA ratio declining to 1.84 per cent from 2.94 per cent reported in Q4FY25. Net NPA ratio stood at 0.55 per cent as against 0.59 per cent reported in the corresponding period previous year.

Provision Coverage Ratio excluding technical write-offs stood at 89.43 per cent during the quarter.

Canara Bank Dividend Announcement

The Board of Directors recommended a dividend of Rs 4.20 per equity share of face value Rs 2 each for FY26, subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing Annual General Meeting.
