Defence Drone Multibagger Stock in Focus on Wednesday After Launching India’s First Modular AI-Powered Anti-Drone System

Launched on the anniversary of Operation Sindoor, the platform is designed as a comprehensive anti-drone system available in vehicle-mounted, man-portable and fixed configurations. It integrates both soft-kill and hard-kill capabilities to counter hostile drone threats and has been fully designed and developed in India, according to the company.

AI Powered Summary

Zen Technologies Limited unveiled what it described as India’s first modular, AI-powered, fully integrated anti-drone system at the North Tech Symposium 2026 in Prayagraj, positioning the launch as a milestone in Defence self-Reliance and sovereign intellectual property creation.

The AI-driven system has been engineered in response to escalating drone-led warfare and the growing use of low-cost FPVs and coordinated swarm attacks that can bypass traditional air defence systems.

Operationally, the platform offers full-spectrum frequency coverage from 70 MHz to 12 GHz, enabling detection and disruption across diverse drone communication channels. It provides extended surveillance capability with a detection range exceeding 15 km and the ability to simultaneously track more than 100 drones for swarm engagement scenarios.

Its layered neutralisation architecture combines RF jamming, GNSS jamming and spoofing, and integration with remote-controlled weapon stations (12.7/7.62 mm), air defence guns and kamikaze interceptors. A high-sensitivity indigenous radar with a range of up to 20 km enhances early detection of smaller, low radar cross-section drones.

At the core of the platform is an intelligent Data Fusion & Command Centre that integrates inputs from multiple sensors and applies advanced algorithms for threat classification, tracking and response.

The system has been structured for multi-configuration deployment. The vehicle-mounted variant is aimed at rapid deployment and convoy protection. The man-portable configuration is designed for use by dismounted soldiers during patrols and counter-insurgency operations. The fixed installation is intended to protect critical infrastructure, military bases and high-value assets with continuous surveillance and defensive coverage.

Commenting on the launch, Mr Ashok Atluri, Chairman & Managing Director, Zen Technologies, said:

“Operation Sindoor exposed a hard truth: drone warfare is redefining the battlefield, and nations that fail to adapt will remain vulnerable. While the world is focused on building drones, the real advantage will belong to those who can make them irrelevant. At Zen Technologies, we have built exactly that advantage. This launch reinforces our commitment to advancing cutting-edge indigenous defence technologies, reducing import dependence, and equipping our armed forces with globally competitive, future-ready capabilities. Our AI-powered anti-drone platform, developed under the IDDM framework with full intellectual property ownership, is a decisive response to this shift. For the armed forces, this means enhanced survivability and mission assurance in an increasingly contested battlespace. As a leading anti-drone solutions provider, Zen Technologies is uniquely positioned to design, develop and deliver world-class systems at scale and we will continue to invest aggressively in shaping the future of anti-drone warfare technology.”
