FII Stake Increases: This Semiconductor Company Launches India’s First GaN Power IC Family

Cyient Semiconductor Business Update
Cyient informed exchanges that its semiconductor subsidiary, Cyient Semiconductors Private Limited, has launched seven new Gallium Nitride (GaN) power devices for the Indian market in partnership with Navitas Semiconductor. With this launch, Cyient has entered the high-performance power semiconductor segment, marking its first commercial GaN product portfolio. These semiconductor products are designed for applications including AI data centres, telecom infrastructure, fast chargers, industrial power systems and electric mobility solutions.
The company stated that the newly launched products can be used in devices such as laptop chargers, mobile adapters, power supply systems and EV charging platforms. Compared to traditional silicon-based semiconductor devices, GaN technology offers higher power efficiency, faster switching speed and lower energy loss.
Cyient further said that the partnership with Navitas Semiconductor will help strengthen domestic semiconductor supply capabilities in India while supporting local sourcing initiatives. The company expects commercial sampling of the first set of products to begin from June 2026.
