The recently listed hospital stock has gained around 13 per cent over the past week and is currently trading nearly 38 per cent above its issue price of Rs 590. Manipal Hospitals made its stock market debut on August 5, 2026. At around noon on Friday, the company’s market capitalisation stood at approximately Rs 1.05 trillion, while the stock traded at Rs 800.90.

Strong Q1FY27 Operating Performance

Manipal Hospitals reported a strong operating performance in the June 2026 quarter, supported by sustained patient demand, higher growth in high-acuity specialties and continued absorption of recently added capacity.

Revenue from operations increased 38.1 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 3,091 crore in Q1FY27, while EBITDA rose 26.4 per cent YoY to Rs 749 crore. Inpatient and outpatient volumes increased 38.8 per cent and 26 per cent, respectively.

Network occupancy improved by 290 basis points YoY to 65 per cent, indicating better utilisation of the expanded capacity. Average Revenue per Occupied Bed (ARPOB), excluding Sahyadri Hospitals, stood at Rs 77,200 per day, up 8.7 per cent YoY, reflecting stronger revenue generation from the existing hospital network.

Manipal Hospitals is one of India’s largest integrated healthcare providers, serving around 8 million patients annually. Its network comprises 50 hospitals with more than 13,400 licensed beds across 14 States and Union Territories.

With strong patient volumes, improving capacity utilisation and expectations of better profitability at Sahyadri Hospitals, the company’s earnings outlook remains a key focus for investors following its recent listing.
