The story on multi-cap funds was quite interesting and I would like to know your opinion on whether at all it makes sense to have a multi-cap fund in my portfolio? - Surendra Parab
Editor Responds : Multi-cap funds are higher on risk when compared with flexi-cap funds or even Large-Cap and Mid-Cap funds. This is because of their mandate of investing at least 50 per cent in mid-cap and small-cap stocks. So, if you wish to have an exposure to mid-caps and small-caps but are not comfortable with investing individually in mid-cap and small-cap funds, then investing in multi-cap funds would make more sense.
