KPI Green Energy Commissions 200 MW Solar Project
KPI Green Energy announced the successful commissioning of 200 MW (AC) / 269 MW (DC) of solar power capacity at GIPCL's Solar Park in Khavda, Gujarat. The commissioning has been certified by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), the state agency responsible for promoting and regulating renewable energy projects in Gujarat.
The commissioned capacity forms part of a larger 300 MW (AC) / 405 MW (DC) grid-connected ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) project being executed by the company on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis for Coal India Limited.
Part of a Larger 300 MW EPC Project
Under the EPC model, KPI Green Energy is responsible for the complete design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the solar power project on behalf of Coal India Limited. With the commissioning of the first 200 MW (AC), the remaining 100 MW (AC) / 136 MW (DC) capacity is yet to be completed. The company stated that the balance capacity is progressing as planned.
