Tips Music Q1 FY27 Financial Performance

Tips Music reported revenue from operations of Rs 106.51 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 88.07 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a 20.9 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth. Total income increased to Rs 112.34 crore from Rs 93.76 crore, reflecting a 19.8 per cent YoY growth.

The company reported profit before Tax (PBT) of Rs 58.30 crore, compared with Rs 61.53 crore in Q1 FY26. While PBT declined 5.2 per cent YoY, it remained significantly above the company's quarterly operating expenses. Net profit stood at Rs 43.70 crore, compared with Rs 45.84 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, resulting in a 4.7 per cent YoY decline. On a sequential basis, PAT declined 26.0 per cent from Rs 59.06 crore reported in Q4 FY26.

Operational Highlights

During the quarter, acquisition cost and in-house music production cost increased to Rs 39.95 crore from Rs 19.46 crore in the year-ago period, reflecting continued investment in content acquisition and music production. Advertisement and sales promotion expenses also increased to Rs 3.43 crore, while employee benefit expenses stood at Rs 4.04 crore.

Board Defers Buyback Proposal

The Board of Directors deferred the proposal for the buyback of fully paid-up equity shares of the company. The matter was scheduled to be considered at a separate Board meeting to be held on August 5, 2026. The company also informed that the trading window for designated persons would remain closed until 48 hours after the conclusion of the meeting.
The stock is currently trading at a Price-to-Earnings PE ratio of 40.1, while delivering a robust Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) of 122 per cent.
