Market Update: NIFTY IT sole sectoral index trading in green

In today’s trade, the best performing index is NIFTY IT.
Getting positive cues from the US market, Nifty 50 opened in green in today’s trade at 17149.5 against the previous close of 17072.6. Currently, it is trading at 16941.5 down by more than 100 points. Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 40 are trading below their previous close and 10 are trading above their yesterday close. In today’s trade, most of the stocks are trading in favour of declines. Overall, many stocks are trading in the red.
In today’s trade, the best performing index is NIFTY IT, which is up by 0.65 per cent. This is followed by NIFTY FMCG, which is down by - 0.13 per cent. The worst performing index currently (10:22) is NIFTY PSU BANK. It is down by - 1.83 per cent after showing a good gain in the previous trading session. Out of a total of 13 companies forming part of the index, all are trading in the red.
The overall market is trading in favour of decline. Currently, the advance to decline ratio stands as 51:246.
