RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group Backed Business Process Management Company Acquires TeleMedik to Expand U.S. Healthcare Presence

Firstsource Solutions Limited, a global provider of business management services under the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, announced on 13 January 2026 its acquisition of TeleMedik, a Puerto Rico-based pioneer in developing and implementing technological solutions for the healthcare sector. The move marks a strategic push to strengthen Firstsource’s digital healthcare capabilities and deepen its presence across U.S. payer and provider markets.

The acquisition is primarily aimed at bolstering Firstsource’s end-to-end clinical and utilisation management capabilities while enhancing its Business Process as a Service (BPaaS++) offering. By integrating digital and generative AI capabilities with clinical operations, the company aims to deliver more efficient and scalable solutions to healthcare organisations.

A key outcome of the deal is the expansion of Firstsource’s footprint into the U.S. healthcare payer-provider ecosystem, including Puerto Rico. This positions the combined platform to support fast-growing segments such as Medicaid, Medicare Advantage and dual-eligible populations, along with underserved and Spanish-speaking communities.

Operationally, the integration is expected to help health plans modernise the medical management lifecycle—from intake and authorisation to member engagement—without requiring heavy in-house investments. Benefits include improved clinical consistency, enhanced member outcomes and reduced administrative burden and costs for clients.

Commenting on the acquisition, Dr. Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of RPSG Group and Firstsource, said the transaction “elevates our capabilities and amplifies our reach” in the U.S. healthcare space.
