PCBL Commissions New Specialty Production Line

PCBL Chemical Limited has successfully commissioned a new 20,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) specialty production line at its Mundra facility in Gujarat.

With the commissioning of the new line, the company's total specialty chemical production capacity has increased to 132 kilo tonnes (KT) per annum from 112 KT per annum earlier.

PCBL Chemical Focus On High-Growth Printing Applications

The newly commissioned state-of-the-art production line has been designed to serve high-growth and value-added segments, including high-speed printing, digital printing and ultraviolet (UV) printing applications.

The capacity addition strengthens PCBL's specialty chemicals portfolio and expands its presence in advanced performance materials catering to evolving industrial requirements.

Existing Capacity Operating At 95 per cent Utilisation

Before the latest expansion, PCBL's specialty chemical capacity of 112 KT per annum was operating at approximately 95 per cent utilisation, indicating strong demand for the company's specialty products.

The additional 20 KT capacity is expected to help meet growing customer demand while increasing the contribution of higher-margin specialty products within the company's overall product mix.

According to the company, the new facility will be ramped up progressively over the coming months.
