RailTel Bags Rs 29.84 Crore Order

RailTel Corporation of India has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Southern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh Limited (APSPDCL) for a project valued at Rs 29,83,50,503, including Taxes.

The order involves the supply, installation, testing, configuration and training of Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) devices, along with the deployment of the necessary hardware, bandwidth licences, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) security solutions.

Project To Be Executed By 2031

The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and is scheduled to be executed by June 23, 2031. The company clarified that the order does not involve any related party transaction, and neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity.

The Letter of Acceptance was received by the company on June 24, 2026.

Strengthening Digital Infrastructure

The latest order further strengthens RailTel's presence in India's digital infrastructure and enterprise networking segment. The deployment of Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technology is expected to enhance network performance, improve cybersecurity and enable efficient connectivity across the power utility's operational network.

The project also highlights RailTel's growing participation in digital transformation initiatives undertaken by government departments and public sector enterprises across the country.
