Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Monday with the Sensex down 1.36 per cent at 76,330 and the Nifty-50 down 1.47 per cent at 23,086. About 555 shares have advanced, 3,562 shares have declined and 131 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 4.17 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 4.14 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Crisil Ltd, Biocon Ltd and Aditya Birla Capital Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are GRM Overseas Ltd, Prism Johnson Ltd and Piramal Pharma Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in red with the BSE Services Index; BSE Realty Index; BSE Power Index; BSE Oil &Gas Index, BSE Metals Index, BSE Consumer Discretionary Index, BSE Industrials Index and BSE Consumer Durables Index being the Top Gainers which plunged over 3 per cent each.

As of January 13, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.17 lakh crore or USD 4.83 trillion. On the same day, 120 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 508 stocks touched a 52-week low.
