Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Monday with the Sensex down 1.08 per cent at 75,366  and the Nifty-50 down 1.14 per cent at 22,829. About 597 shares have advanced, 3,519 shares have declined and 118 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 2.68 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 3.51 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Bank of India, Adani Wilmar Ltd and Central Bank of India. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were RPG Life Sciences Ltd, Epigral Ltd and Ethos Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in red with the BSE Information Technology Index; BSE Focused IT Index, BSE Telecommunication Index and BSE Teck Index being the Top Gainers which plunged over 3 per cent each.

As of January 27, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.10 lakh crore or USD 4.75 trillion. On the same day, 93 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 494 stocks touched a 52-week low.
