Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Wednesday with the Sensex down 0.25 per cent at 77,415 and the Nifty-50 down 0.31 per cent at 23,519. About 1,497 shares have advanced, 2,499 shares have declined and 123 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.35 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.68 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd, Bayer CropScience Ltd and Indraprastha Gas Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Power Mech Projects Ltd, Jindal Worldwide Ltd and Nibe Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices traded mixed with the BSE FMCG Index and BSE Bankex Index were the Top Gainers while the BSE Focused IT Index and BSE Information Technology Index were the Top Losers.

As of March 28, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.13 lakh crore or USD 4.82 trillion. On the same day, 62 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 428 stocks touched a 52-week low.
