Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Friday with the Sensex up 0.95 per cent at 81,721 and the Nifty-50 up 0.99 per cent at 24,853. About 2,361 shares have advanced, 1,589 shares have declined and 156  shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.50 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.45 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Brainbees Solutions Ltd and Clean Science & Technology Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were IFCI Ltd, Cosmo First Ltd and HPL Electric & Power Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the green with the BSE Utilities Index, BSE FMCG Index and BSE Power Index surging over 1 per cent each.

As of May 23, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 442 lakh crore or USD 5.16 trillion. On the same day, 98 stocks hit a 52-week high while 34 stocks touched a 52-week low.
