Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Friday with the Sensex down 0.88 per cent at 81,463 and the Nifty-50 down 0.90 per cent at 24,837. About 1,116 shares have advanced, 2,893 shares have declined and 145 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 1.46 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 1.88 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Phoenix Mills Ltd, Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Supreme Industries Ltd and Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Sharda Cropchem Ltd, Vimta Labs Ltd, Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem Ltd and Indian Energy Exchange Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the red with the BSE Oil & Gas Index, BSE Utilities Index and BSE Power Index, gaining over 2 per cent each.

As of July 25, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 452 lakh crore or USD 5.22 trillion. On the same day, 111 stocks hit a 52-week high while 68 stocks touched a 52-week low.
