Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Tuesday with the Sensex down 0.38 per cent at 80,710 and the Nifty-50 down 0.30 per cent at 24,650. About 1,744 shares have advanced, 2,299 shares have declined and 154 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.14 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.27 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were New India Assurance Company Ltd, Uno Minda Ltd, Solar Industries India Ltd and Vishal Mega Mart Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Newgen Software Technologies Ltd, Prakash Industries Ltd, Tanla Platforms Ltd and Godfrey Phillips India Ltd.

On the sectoral front, indices were traded mixed with the BSE Auto Index and BSE Power Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Oil & Gas Index and BSE Energy Index were the Top Losers.

As of August 05, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 448 lakh crore or USD 5.10 trillion. On the same day, 128 stocks hit a 52-week high while 101 stocks touched a 52-week low.
